Accessibility and services

The entrance for visitors with reduced mobility is to the left of the main entrance.

It is possible to park a vehicle close to the Museum subject to a request made at least one week in advance via email ([email protected]), attaching the following documents:

  • A scan or photo of the mobility card (or foreign equivalent)
  • The vehicle’s number plate
  • The make and color of the vehicle
  • The date and time at which the visitors wish to arrive at the Museum

To access the Museum, vehicles must enter through the Tuileries Gardens via the gate on Avenue du Général Lemonnier (on the Louvre side). Inside the Tuileries Gardens, vehicles must drive very slowly with warning lights on.

All the Museum’s exhibition areas and services (café and book and gift store) are accessible by people with reduced mobility.

Special accommodations are available: Accessible toilets, access ramps, automatic doors and elevators.

The Museum lends wheelchairs, folding seats and walking sticks free of charge. You can ask for them when you make your booking or upon your arrival at the Museum.

Service dogs are welcome at the Museum. Dogs undergoing training are also admitted. Official documentation may be requested.

To help you find your way around the Museum you can download the Museum’s guide map below. The printed version of the guide map is available free of charge from the reception desk. Please contact our staff if you have any questions.
